NY's
Sportfishing Guide
A Shore-Based Angler's Haven
With
more than 1,500 miles of coastline, New York offers tremendous
opportunities for shore-based anglers to score with stripers,
bluefish, false albacore, fluke, porgy, and black sea bass. Generous
stretches of parklands allow access to some of the best fishing
action on the eastern seaboard. Anglers can fish in the shadows
of Manhattan for striped bass and bluefish, or venture out to
Robert Moses State Park to try for flukes and other fish. Plan
a fishing trip to Shinnecock Canal where fish move between the
north and south forks of Lang Island. Orient Beach State Parks
provides surfing access to Gardiners Bay and Plum Gut, where the
possibilities for striped bass and porgy appear endless. Click

of Long Island's State Parks.
