Green Infrastructure Retrofit Manual Training Workshop

8:30 am-12:30 pm (8-8:30am check-in & continental breakfast)

This interactive half-day workshop will showcase the different sections of the newly developed City of Rochester/Monroe County Green Infrastructure Retrofit Manual, with an emphasis on the localized content. Attendees will learn how to apply the manual contents to their work. This training event will close with a tour of Green Infrastructure practices on the Rochester Museum & Science Center campus.

Mold Remediation Workshop

  • Presentation: Reentering a Flooded Home and Mold Mitigation
    Dr. Joseph Laquatra (retired), Department of Design and Environmental Analysis, Cornell University
    This presentation covers the basics about mold, how it affects your environment, and how to safely get rid of it.

  • Video: As a result of persistent (in some cases months long) some residents were experiencing issues with mold and reached out to Wayne County Cooperative Extension and New York Sea Grant. As a result, a Mold Remediation workshop was held in Sodus Point, NY in September 2017.

    In an effort to provide the information from the workshop to other communities, NYSG funded to record and edit a video of the workshop.

    Part 1 includes the presentation portion of the workshop, with the Q&A session that followed appearing in Part 2.
