Just as for solid waste, marinas should encourage the recycling of appropriate liquid waste.  Disposal facilities for all waste should be readily available for all marina customers and they should be instructed on the proper disposal methods.  Signs like this or handouts are effective means of letting patrons know what they should be doing with their waste.  Because cross contamination of liquid wastes can pose serious problems for recycling and disposal, marinas may want to consider allowing authorized personnel to handle or supervise the disposal of hazardous waste as indicated by this sign.
