Coastal Community Development Program- New York Sea Grant
The NYSG revitalized Coastal Community Development Program launched in 2011. Pairing recent Great Lakes surveys and land use planning documents with local community needs assessment initial programming areas were identified as: Workforce Development & Volunteerism - Launch Steward/Train-the-Trainer Program, Community Decision Making & Land Use Planning, Business Retention & Expansion, Alternative & Renewable Energy Initiatives, and Great Lakes Coastal Resilience Guide.

The Great Lakes Coastal Resilience Planning Guide shows how coastal communities are using science based information to address coastal hazards such as flooding, shore erosion, and lake-level fluctuations.

Adapting to Climate Change: A Planning Guide for State Coastal Managers– A Great Lakes Supplement- National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This Great Lakes supplemental report is intended to be used as a companion to the 2010 planning guide. It provides more specificity on climate trends and potential climate change impacts and consequences affecting the Great Lakes region and includes numerous case examples of adaptation actions already being taken at the regional, state, and local level.

Coastal Change Analysis Program (C-CAP)- National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
These nationally consistent, raster based products provide individual dates of land cover inventories. Up to 25 classes of land cover are mapped. Data is based upon 30 meter Landsat imagery.
Coastal Change Hazards Portal- National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
The Coastal Change Hazards Portal organizes relevant products and information under three specific coastal hazard themes: extreme storms,shoreline change, and sea level rise. The products fulfill critical needs for information that is scientifically credible and usable for increasing resilience to storms and climate change. This information supports land use planning, infrastructure, and ecosystem and cultural resource management decisions, as well as storm response and recovery.The goal of the project is to enable users to apply and integrate these data and tools to address their specific needs.

Coastal Resilience supports a community of practitioners around the world who are applying spatial planning innovations to coastal hazard risk, resilience and adaptation issues. This is a global networkproviding access to peer practitioners, tools, information and training focused on nature-based solutions.
Digital Coast- National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
This NOAA-sponsored website is focused on helping communities address coastal issues and has become one of the most-used resources in the coastal management community. The dynamic Digital Coast Partnership,whose members represent the website’s primary user groups, keeps the effort focused on customer needs.

The New York State Coastal Map provides an electronic estimation of the State’s Coastal Area Boundary and identifies: Significant Coastal Fish and Wildlife Habitats; Scenic Areas of Statewide Significance; Local Waterfront Revitalization Program Communities; Long Island Sound Coastal Management Plan Boundary; federally-owned lands; and Native American owned lands.
NYSGIS Clearinghouse- New York State Department of State
The Data Sharing Cooperative was primarily developed to encourage public agencies in New York to share in the creation, use, and maintenance of GIS data sets at the least possible cost.
Recommendations to Improve the Strength and Resilience of the Empire State's Infrastructure- NYS 2100 Commission
The State’s Commission reviewed the vulnerabilities faced by the State’s infrastructure systems, and developed specific recommendations that can be implemented to increase New York’s resilience in five main areas: transportation, energy, land use, insurance, and infrastructure finance. These recommendations include steps to improve the State’s built (hard)and natural (soft) infrastructure, institutions, and information systems.
