Oswego, NY, July 19, 2013 - There are plenty of fun things to do while you’re out on the water. People are using water skis, tubes, wakeboards, paddleboards, pontoons, jet skis, canoes, and kayaks.
For this edition of Discover Betting Boating, New York Sea Grant's Coastal Recreation and Tourism Specialist Dave White is joined by Pete Carolin at Brinson Marine in Syracuse.
"What are some of the fun things that people can do with their boats," White asked Carolin.
"A lot of people are using tubes as well as wakeboards," said Carolin. "There's also water skiing, which is a bit more traditional."
"Paddle-sporting is one of the largest growing components of the boating industry," said White. "What's the newest thing?"
"Stand-up paddle boards," said Carolin. "They are very easy to use and they offer a nice workout."
