The Finger Lakes – Lake Ontario Watershed Protection Alliance and New York Sea Grant partnered to plan and execute a series of 6 workshops in late September 2012 - primarily in Lake Ontario shoreline communities - to gather the opinions and input of stakeholders in regards to the health of the lake and its watershed, priority projects for implementation and additional needs/concerns in these communities. Funding for these Lake Ontario visioning workshops was obtained by the Niagara County Soil and Water Conservation District from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Great Lakes Restoration Initiative Program.
