Recreational boating provides a fun, clean way to enjoy our waters.  While boating and boating facilities are usually relatively small contributors to water quality problems compared to other sources, they can have local impacts if care is not taken.  These are just some examples of the best management practices that marina operators and boaters can implement to further help protect our coastal resources and preserve water quality. Facility operators and boaters can play a key role in identifying possible problems and solutions and in reducing the potential environmental impacts of marinas and boating.
