The infiltration trenches allow the runoff to seep back into the ground rather than flowing directly into surface waters.  These trenches should be used in conjunction with vegetated filter strips to prevent clogging by soils and other particles.  Costs for infiltration trenches range from around $55 to over $120 per linear foot depending on site conditions.
