Obviously, not all facilities can do their hull maintenance and repair work under a roof.  If work is to be done outdoors, it should be done in specially designated areas as far away from the water as possible. The area should have hard, impermeable surfaces that can be easily swept or vacuumed to remove contaminants.  This should be done regularly.
