This is an online training course outlining the use and implementation of HACCP principles in seafood facilities. The primary audience is the seafood processing and importing industry, and regulatory officials based in the United States.

Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
|
This GMP Internet course is designed to review the requirements of Part 110 – Current Good Manufacturing Practices in the Manufacturing, Packing, or Holding of Human Food - in Title 21 of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations. This regulation specifically applies to all food products regulated by FDA. It outlines the basic sanitary controls that are required for all food processing plants, wholesale or distribution firms, and warehouses or food storage facilities that handle, store or process FDA regulated food.

Oyster Hatchery Shortcourse

The 2013 Oyster Hatchery Short Course is part of the Oyster Aquaculture Education & Training Program offered by University of Maryland Extension and supported by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources through NOAA Crab Industry Disaster Funds. The course is designed for those who want to learn how to work in an oyster hatchery or start a business of their own to supply larvae and seed to growers. This is not a course to train growers but to learn to produce hatchery products.
