New York Sea Grant (NYSG) is pleased to announce its Biennial Research Call for 2024-2025.
The main goal of New York Sea Grant's (NYSG) research program is to generate and provide valid scientific information and tools that will further the sustainable development, use, protection, conservation, and management of our coastal resources. The research must be driven by stakeholder-identified research needs and provide enhanced opportunities for NYSG to ‘make a difference’ and positively impact important coastal issues. Pre-proposals are invited specifically addressing portions of NYSG’s Strategic Plan for 2024-2027.
Research in many disciplines, including biology, chemistry, geology, physical oceanography, engineering, social science and others, will be appropriate.
We encourage early-career researchers and researchers who have not submitted to Sea Grant before to submit a pre-proposal. An informational webinar will be held on December 12th answer questions and provide background. See below.
Submission Deadline: Pre-proposals are due by 4:30 PM on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. Pre-proposals cannot be submitted after the deadline. Any submissions that are incomplete will not be considered. You are encouraged to apply early! Submissions via e-mail or hard copy are not accepted.
Funding Interval: Two years, beginning 2/1/2024.
