Application Webinars Set for August 24th and September 4th

Ithaca, NY, August 10, 2015 - New York Sea Grant in partnership with New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is requesting proposals for projects that serve to benefit the environment and economy of New York’s Great Lakes basin.

To help not-for-profit organizations, local governmental and public agencies, and public and private educational institutions apply for grants of up to $25,000, New York Sea Grant will offer informational webinars on August 24, 2015 at 12pm and September 4, 2015 at 12pm. Those interested in registering may email their name and email address to nag3@cornell.edu to receive more information.

Grants will be awarded for projects that enhance community resiliency and ecosystem integrity. Community-based and/or project planning, project implementation, information management tool development, demonstration projects and targeted outreach and education initiatives are eligible. Projects must be located within or be directly related to the Great Lakes basin region of New York.

Proposals will be due by 4:30PM Eastern Time on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. Grants will be announced in early November 2015. Application guidelines are online at www.nyseagrant.org/proposals.
