Shoreline Stewardship Practices for Private Landowners

This project involves producing an educational packet aimed at increasing stewardship among private shoreland owners. The packet will include information about native plantings that abate erosion and enhance wildlife use, control of exotic species, non point source pollution abatement and wetland preservation. Private landowners will be invited to participate in one of three to five hands-on workshops directed at implementing the packet information. In addition to the packet, each landowner will be given a sample of native plant species for their own use. This project is funded by the Great Lakes National Program Office of the Environmental Protection Agency.
