New York Sea Grant Site Review - Public Notice

February 24, 2015, Stony Brook, NY - On 31 March and 01 April 2015, at Cornell University, New York Sea Grant (NYSG) will be visited and reviewed by a Site Review Team empaneled by the Director of the National Sea Grant College Program. The objective of the visit is to assess several aspects of NYSG’s program: 

  1. its management structure, organization and standard operating procedures;

  2. the nature and extent of support given the program by its parent organizations (Cornell and State University of New York and

  3. how effectively NYSG engages in partnerships and associations with external groups, stakeholders, local and State agencies, etc. in developing and carrying out its program of research, extension and education.  The Site Review Team will prepare an evaluative report that will be used by the National Sea Grant College Program Director to determine whether NYSG meets the Standards of Excellence contained in federal statute which all Sea Grant programs are expected to achieve.
