New York Sea Grant in partnership with the New York Department of Environmental Conservation is requesting proposals for projects that serve to benefit the environment and economy of New York’s Great Lakes basin.

Grants of up to $25,000 will be awarded for projects that implement Goal #7 “Enhance community resiliency and ecosystem integrity through restoration, protection, and improved resource management” or Goal #9 “Enhance recreation and tourism opportunities that capitalize on the rivers and lakes, scenic beauty, and natural and cultural resources that define the character of the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence region” of the Great Lakes Action Agenda:

It is anticipated that a total of $200,000 will be awarded to 8-10 proposal requests.

Eligible projects may include project planning, design, and/or implementation, information management, tool development, demonstration projects, and targeted outreach and education initiatives to support management actions and address the following areas as they relate to Goal #7 or Goal #9.

Proposals must be submitted through this portal before the deadline. Submissions via email or mail will not be accepted. Make sure your proposal is complete and consists of all ten parts in order as instructed in pages 4-5 of the RFP. Proposals with missing or incomplete sections are subject to rejection without review.
